Where Do I Check In and Pick Up My Keys?

Check-in is completed directly at the front desk of the resort where you are staying. The resort will already have your reservation on file just as if you were the owner.

  • Bring a valid driver’s license or photo ID: Required for check-in.
  • Bring your confirmation letter: Recommended in case of any issues locating your reservation.

What If There’s a Check-In Issue?

If the resort cannot locate your reservation or assigns the wrong unit, VB Timeshare Rentals Inc. is local to Virginia Beach and available to assist you throughout the rental season.

  • You’ll never be left stranded: If we don’t answer immediately, please leave a message.
  • Weekend support: We return calls as quickly as possible, even on weekends.

What Are the Check-In and Check-Out Times?

  • Standard check-in: 4:00 PM (except Barclay Towers, which begins at 5:00 PM).
  • Early check-in: Some resorts allow early check-in if your unit is ready; otherwise, they may issue a parking pass until your room becomes available.
  • The Colony Condominiums: Does not allow early check-in under any circumstances.
  • Check-out: 10:00 AM for all resorts.
  • Late check-out: Some resorts may offer late check-out for a small fee — ask the front desk for availability.

Resort Fees, Deposits, and Extra Costs

Are There Any Hidden Fees or Additional Costs?

There are no hidden fees when renting a timeshare from an owner through VB Timeshare Rentals Inc. However, guests should be aware of a few potential costs that may apply at the resort level.

  • Damage deposit: A hold of $100–$200 (or $300 at The Colony) is placed on your credit card at check-in and released within 24–48 hours after checkout if no damage occurs.
  • Valet parking: Some resorts offer valet parking for an additional fee.
  • Food & beverages: Purchases such as restaurant tabs, room service, or bar charges are billed directly to your room where available.
  • Extra parking: One parking spot is included with each rental; additional parking may be available for purchase directly through the resort if space allows.

Am I Required to Attend a Timeshare Presentation?

No — guests renting through VB Timeshare Rentals Inc. are never required to attend any timeshare presentation or sales tour.

  • Optional invitations: Some resorts may invite you at check-in, but participation is completely optional.
